Why Blue?

During our market research, we were delighted by the overwhelming public support for Stoke Air Ambulance and the creative ideas we received about how to make our future helicopter stand out from others. Taking inspiration from the heritage of Stoke-on-Trent, and thanks to Julie Haughton from Stone, we chose a colour deeply connected with our city’s industrial past, the world-famous Wedgwood Blue.

Once operational, our helicopter will be finished in this distinctive shade as a tribute to Stoke-on-Trent’s proud history. We also plan to include a subtle white design inspired by the city’s iconic bottle-oven skyline, symbolising the spirit and craftsmanship that shaped our community.

We are excited to share this vision for “Jasper,” the name chosen for our future aircraft, and we thank everyone who contributed their ideas and enthusiasm for celebrating Stoke’s heritage in such a meaningful way.

We’re beginning to explore future partnerships with local and national businesses who share our vision of bringing a dedicated air ambulance to Stoke-on-Trent. Corporate support will play an important role once the service is established, and we welcome early conversations with organisations interested in helping us reach operational readiness — through awareness, volunteering, or future sponsorship opportunities.
